Our Liturgies

Our Liturgies

We use a variety of worship liturgies according to the schedule below.

Traditional Worship
Our services include Sundays that feature the historic beauty of Lutheran liturgies with their roots dating back to the first century. Each portion of these liturgies is drawn from Holy Scripture and expresses the soul’s need for God in the ancient, yet ever relevant, tradition of the church.

Contemporary Worship
On other Sundays, our worship reflects the praise and joy of contemporary music styles. Led by our contemporary choir, Feast, and a variety of instruments, we combine the best of current Christian music and traditional segments of our liturgy.

Folk Worship
Somewhere between our traditional services and our Contemporary service is our folk service. Currently, we are using the Chicago Folk Service with piano and guitars. Still, the basic elements of this service include the traditional elements of our Lutheran liturgy.
